The international scientific conference “Science for security. Results of scientific research and development works” is an event organised and hosted by the Police Academy in Szczytno, Poland. This year’s event took place from the 25th-26th May, 2023 and APPRAISE was delighted to be invited.
The purpose of the conference was to present the results of scientific research or development works obtained by research teams of universities, scientific and research institutes, as well as other entities conducting research in order to improve internal security. An overview of the APPRAISE project and its key objectives was presented by Nina Czyżewska of partner Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS), who is also leading Pilot 4 due to take place at the MTG in Gdansk on the 21st September 2023. The participants in attendance were experts in the field of security in Europe and Police Officers from the Academy in Szczytno who all came together to share knowledge, experience and good practices in the field of research and development in the area of security.
