On the 14th and 15th September 2022, APPRAISE project consortium were hosted by partners AMBEREXPO at the International Fair in Gdansk, Poland to present the project’s innovative technologies for public spaces protection to a large group of 18 interested stakeholders including local institutions, companies, and the local media.
A number technologies currently under development by APPRAISE were presented to the stakeholders, such as:
- Crowd management and communication tools;
- Video & sound-based detection of anomalies;
- Cyberattacks surveillance system;
- Geo-spatial intelligence & online content analysis;
- AR tools for raising situational awareness and AI decision support system for Law Enforcement Agencies and private security operators.
- The Digital Twin based Hypervision and Operation Management system
The goals and ambitions of the project were also presented to the participants and a interesting discussion on technologies expectations and characteristics took place. Stakeholders were also informed on how they could become more involved in the project by joining the APPRAISE community.
The APPRAISE community aims to bring together a wide range of stakeholders such as; users, public or private security practitioners, local government organisations and other first responders. Members will have a direct involvement in the research and evaluations of the project, working together we will draw upon the experience and expertise of members, identifying good practices and existing gaps within the current approaches.
After the meeting, consortium members also met to discuss, adjust and adapt the four pilots and use cases envisioned within APPRAISE, this was accompanied by a tour of the International Fair premises, where the fourth APPRAISE pilot will take place, with emphasis given to possible locations for the pilot attack scenario, read more about the APPRAISE pilots here.
